An article I read asked the question if it is possible to have too much wealth to get into heaven. That the question was even being asked seemed to make some kind of valuation or judgment on some “other” person. We live in a divided society – socially and politically – but the church should not be so.
Whether we have much or little - all that we have is God's.
If we have little - are we content? Grateful for the muscle of dependency on God that should be obvious in our life?
If we have much - are we grateful? Content to not depend on our wealth, but rather be used as a wise conduit of God's riches to bring the kingdom?
The one, not judging the other, but each being diligent to the very work God has called us (the poor not being idle expecting only a handout, the rich not being idle expecting only ease and leisure). But each being generous in spirit to the other, realizing the Source of all good things.
