These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full. John 15:11
Sometimes I think of joy as a mere byproduct of God’s blessing. But it is not just a consequence of our new found position, our redemption, our healing – He made a decisive act to ensure that we have joy in its fullness. Tucked in this verse is a reminder that joy is His goal. He acted SO THAT we would have joy. That’s incredible to me.
My point is that it isn’t incidental. It is intentional. He moves deliberately so we can experience joy. What a wonderful God we have! Truly a manifestation of His love for us. - joy, just for the sake of joy!
