Jesus gave us a manger - to show us humility
He gave us bread and wine – to draw us together in remembering Him
He gave us the cross – to show us sacrifice and illustrate the cost
He gave us an empty tomb – to reveal His power and our reason for hope
All these were given to display His great love for us and to draw us near. Let us wholeheartedly love Him and love one another this Holy season.
This is how God showed His love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9
