Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, Who daily bears our burdens. Psalm 68:19
Bless God. Jesus paid the price of my sin once for all on the cross, but He isn’t a one and done Savior – He daily takes my load. My decision to follow Him put me on a new path, but each day it is a fresh choice to be near the One who will bear my burden.
There is weight that I carry of my own making and also that of just living in a fallen world – worry, sin, guilt, loss, loneliness, disappointments, health issues, trying to navigate the busyness of life. These all can weigh heavily but Jesus took on not just my sin and guilt but all manner of burdens, big and small.
My load is too heavy for me and I constantly need to give it to Him. Sometimes I try and take it back, but He is there – every day, every hour. I choose to walk with Him, follow Him, for only there am I free. I can rest in Him who bears my burden for me – daily.
