Passion Week reflections

Passion Week is so called because of the suffering and agony of Christ. Passion is defined in lay terms as “strong and barely controlled emotion.” Our minds cannot fully comprehend nor our hearts understand what was done on our behalf. God longs to be with us, in restored relationship forever, so He purposefully and passionately shed His blood so that we might live.

At church this week we were encouraged to read through John 12-21. As we walk through the text and consider the passion of our Savior, let us sit with Him and remember all He endured for us. I'd love to hear from you throughout the week about your reflections and how you have responded to Him.

Some additional thoughts for the week:

Lamb Selection Day

The Path of the Lamb

Why the pain?

The Cost

Anticipation a Maundy Thursday note

Still Easter?

Perspective. From navigating the petty hurts and trials of life, I begin to focus on the bigger picture. God's great love and His forgiveness. When I am reassured of that, the rest comes more easily.
