Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:14
I know there is a perfect peace that is coming, but I sometimes forget He came to give us peace now, here on earth. The angels declare the arrival of this Peace with the birth of the Christ child.
Why don’t I always experience the peace that He has provided? Maybe I lose my focus on Him. He is the source of peace. And His peace can overcome any external situation.
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. John 16:33
That kind of peace defies our world’s logic, but is a promise for those who are His.
Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, Romans 5:1
When Jesus came He brought the gift of peace – peace with Him, with each other, and also peace within.
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27
My hope and trust are in Him. I need to receive all He has given me with open arms.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13
And I pray the same for you.
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16
