Once upon a nudge…

It’s exciting to launch the What Then Why Now website and blog. It starts with a story.

In the beginning… Did you know the Bible is an inspired storybook? A book where God tells HIS story. But I digress…

Once upon a time… It began as a question. “Where can I find more?” Class would end, the questions would continue.

Then as a nudge. “Come on Jen, why don’t you put it together for us?” Friends asking for an accessible format.

And finally just a not-so-gentle push off the cliff. Before I knew it, an online structure was built and it began to take on a life of its own. Nuggets of insights I emailed to friends over the years became inspiration for the blog.

So, what can you expect here?

Weekly postings on topics to stir conversation – with the goal of encouraging community and drawing us to God.

We’ll explore:

  • current archaeological finds
  • the Jewish world of Jesus
  • pictures and parables from the Bible
  • current events – and how the past has influenced them
  • Jewish feasts and holidays
  • links to relevant resources (check out the learn page)
  • insights you have
  • questions you ask

What are you nudging to know?

  1. The Bible is a literary work of art. As a wordsmith, I'd love to glean from you literary insights on the Hebrew language and poetry that give more context to the meaning of its many stories.
  2. Living as I do in a world of scientists and engineers, useful evangelical tools fall into the "why can we trust as true what we've come to believe?" (And when I say "true", I mean what is "TRUE". Relativism is illogical!)
